Building Community Trust and Impact with Language Justice

21 June 2022

This session included practical tips on doing your work with language justice in mind. Building opportunities for ALL Greenville County residents also means making sure every voice can be heard. Many community organizations are actively seeking to create equitable spaces to better serve our community members. This action must include creating space for those that are not predominantly English speaking.

Creating multi-lingual spaces where everyone can communicate, understand, and be understood in the language in which they prefer is part of language justice. Language justice is a key component to building inclusive, equitable and sustainable communities. As the world continues to evolve, today’s non-profit and philanthropic organizations have tools at their disposal to implement strategies and practices that promote language equity.
