You can be a policy maker

16 July 2020

Both Greenville Partnership for Philanthropy and the NonProfit Alliance have placed advocacy and policy in their strategic and operational plans for 2020.  We’ve engaged in advocacy around COVID and CARES Act (and, of course, many nonprofits and funders have been active in speaking for affordable housing, transit, public education and more).

But – we all have a more specific and direct opportunity to be part of the policy process.  Numerous public boards and commissions are taking applications for members of committees such as Accommodations Tax Advisory, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Commission, Human Relations Commission, and the Greenville County Redevelopment Authority.

Applications for Greenville County appointments close July 31st.  Please click here for a full listing and the application.  If you need any guidance as you consider this, please let Katy Smith know!
